MakerFest is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, MakerFest is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, and projects.

We call it the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth! A family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.

We can't have MakerFest without Makers! If you've exhibited at a MakerFaire or MakerFest before, we'd love for you to become a part of ours. Additionally, if you know anyone who would be a great fit for our event, please help them connect with us. To get started on the application process, please fill out the Call for Makers form. If you want to take part in the Elkhorn MakerFest and share what you make, it's free to exhibit! If you wish to sell the things that you make, there is a $25 vendor fee. Please note: Vendor booths are limited and are expected to "make" at their booths. Bonus points for audience participation.

Volunteering at Elkhorn MakerFest is an excellent opportunity to earn community service hours for college applications, National Honor Society, and build a resume. It's a fun day to work together with peers, and be at the event! Volunteers like you help us keep Elkhorn MakerFest free and open to everyone. Amazing volunteers are what make an amazing Fest!

Volunteer opportunities consist of, but are not limited to, Fest set up and break down, ticketing, tour guides, maker helpers, raffle ticket selling, and so much more!

Those under 18 require a parent signature. Younger children are welcome to volunteer with a guardian or the entire family. Everyone is welcome and appreciated.

All volunteers who sign up before January 15, 2025, will receive a free t-shirt (picked up in Volunteer Central at MakerFest). Snacks will be provided while supplies last in Volunteer Central.

Proceeds from this event help fund future events and provide financial support for our district MakerSpaces. In the past, over 100 Makers and 1,000 participants of all ages reveled in the wonders of robotics, art, and technology far beyond our present grasp, and so much more. Hands-on exhibits invite guests to immerse themselves in the Makers' craft, igniting their imaginations to soar beyond the stars!

Your support will:

• Help provide inquiry-based learning experiences for K-12 students in the Walworth County area and beyond.

• Help provide professional development for K-12 teachers and support staff.

• Showcase your company as an advocate for the STEAM concepts, which translate into skills that address social, economic, and environmental issues.
